HEY!! How’s it going? I’m pretty excited about this new, fancy site. You’re going to have to bear with me though. Your girl is still trying to figure out how to use this WordPress thing. Square Space was a lot more basic. And I WAS pretty basic. But I’m steppin’ up and steppin’ out.
The site isn’t 100% finished by any means. I still need to transfer some stuff over… so give me a few more weeks. But I’m an impatient person, so I figured…”might as well.”
Once again, this is mostly all possible because of some really great people in my life.
I want to give a shoutout to my friend, Jerry. He’s been the one who has pretty much literally held my hand through all of this (from the first blog site I had, to this now fancy site that I can do A LOT with – once I figure it out, that is!) Jerry told me awhile back that it was time for an update. He was right. So, he pushed me for awhile to let him switch everything over to WP. I second guess myself a lot so I was pretty reluctant for awhile. And then I dragged my feet some. But here we are four months later (ha). Jerry is a creative web designer/3D Modeler/tech guru…and so much more. If you need anything “creative” done, check him out.
Also, the pictures you see on here are from my friend, Josh. He’s pretty talented. He now works for THE Clemson University – shooting pics, and doing whatever else he does there, so I don’t think he does as much shooting on the side. BUT he was kind enough to take these pics for me. If you need pics done, check him out here.
I’m fortunate to have some pretty amazing people in my life who continually push me out of my comfort zone. I’m thankful to be a part of a CrossFit gym (CFEC) where I’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow and be challenged as a coach over the past several years.
And probably most importantly, I have to give a shoutout to my man, Dan, because without him, I wouldn’t have even started that silly little blog 3 years ago. He knows me more than anyone else does. But despite the good, the bad, and the ugly, he still seems to think I can make a difference in this world. He keeps pushing me to get myself out there, and he listens to my crazy dreams (even the ones I really just talk about, but haven’t actually followed through with yet).
So, with all of that, THANK YOU if you’ve ever actually taken the time to read one of my posts and put up with my typos and subpar grammar and spelling.
And while blogging is cool and all, the main purpose of this new site is to be able to show what I can continue to offer. I want to continue to help others figure out how to make their life the BEST it can be – through fitness, lifestyle, food…you name it. Thank you to each person who has taken a chance on me and made the (big) decision to allow me help you reach your goals. I love you. I’d give you a hug, but you know I struggle with those.
I’ll always be learning as I go, BUT the greatest, most important thing I’ve learned over the past three years is that at the end of the day, actually caring about, loving, and wanting the best for each and every person I’ve been able to help/coach/train is the foundation. And that foundation is what drives me to continue to learn as I go. This process has been fun and challenging, and I promise that I will continue to learn and grow, while taking necessary steps to make my life the healthiest it can be in the process.
Thanks, again for reading along, and for the support over the past three years!
