Let me start by saying that I’m not a great writer. The only people who would probably think that I am are my husband and my mom. But I’ve been thinking a lot lately. I want to help people. Sure, I’ve always loved fitness, nutrition, sports – watching and playing – but my passion has grown a lot over the past 6 months. Because of that, I’ve been trying to surround myself with people who are way smarter than me. I’ve been reading and watching videos. My husband and I have made an investment in this. I wouldn’t call it a risk though because it’s made me better at life. The more info I’ve sought out, the more I’ve realized how little I know. I mean, it’s crazy how much I thought I knew before. This has been humbling. My eyes have been opened, and this is just the beginning.
So, here’s where you come in (if you’re still reading). I want to share, in short posts (I promise) what I’m learning. People ask me daily about fitness, nutrition, and overall health, and I want to rave about what is working in my life right now. I want to brag on my husband and the other really cool people in my life. I want to share stories of people in my gym who are making a difference. I want to share what I’m doing to workout. I want to share what I am learning about exercise and nutrition. If you know me, you know I love CrossFit. I love it because it’s changed mine and my husband’s life. The gym I work out at, CrossFit Electric City has helped shape a love for it in me. With great coaches, a great community, and a great affiliate – it works people!!

So far, this has been a pretty cool journey, and I’m inviting you to come along. I’m not one to just throw myself out there. But 2016 has already been different. I’ve made it a goal to get better every single day — not just better in the gym — but more importantly, I want to be a better follower of God, a better wife, a better friend, a better coach, and the list goes on. I hope you’ll be encouraged by the posts that are yet to come.
